Outreach and evaluation

How to shortlist applicants

→ Talent Acquisition (TA) / HR

Before proceeding to the interview rounds, candidates are assessed on:


Relevant work experience in B2C products


- Proficiency in design tools - Figma, prototyping tools, etc.
- Strong sense of visual balance, composition, and craft
- Prior fintech experience (preferred but not mandatory)
- Any standout skill such as motion design, design systems, etc.




If a candidate fulfils 70-80% of the mentioned criteria, Promptly initiate an introductory call & shares a take-home assignment with a deadline of 72 hr.

Round 0: Take-home task

How to review assignment

10 mins → Design leads

In this round of interview, candidates are assessed on:




- Understanding of problem
- Clarity of solution approach
- UX thinking and flow logic
- Visual detail and consistency
- Overall presentation




Feedback and scores are collated to arrive at a decision to proceed forward or not.

Round 1: In-person interview

Conducting white-boarding

90 mins → Design leads

In this collaborative problem-solving session, candidate walks through their approach, receives critique, and iteratively pushes solution forward. Here the candidates are assessed on:




- Depth of design thinking
- Decision-making rationale
- Communication and collaboration
- Openness to feedback




Feedback and scores are collated to arrive at a decision to proceed forward or not.

Round 2: In-person interview

Conducting product round

60 mins → Product leads

In this round, product leads deep-dive into product sense and market understanding, candidates are assessed on:




- Approach to digital product design for scale
- Examples of features/products they admire and why
- Communication of trade-offs, edge cases, and assumptions
- Analytical and strategic reasoning




Feedback and scores are collated to arrive at a final decision to proceed forward or not.

Round 3: In-person/remote interview

Culture fit check

60 mins → Design head

Evaluates candidate’s alignment with the team’s values and ways of working and more conversations around:




- Career aspirations
- Learning mindset
- Work ethic & team behaviour
- Design culture contribution




Offer letter is extended upon consensus between design, product, and talent teams.
